I had the privilege of working with the Executive Producer and Creator of The Expats, a docuseries on Amazon Prime that follows an African American family adapting to life in Taiwan. The client aimed to craft an engaging and authentic series that captured their journey while maintaining high production value. One of the main challenges was distance—I am based in Miami, Florida, while the show was filmed in Taiwan. To overcome this, we developed a seamless remote workflow. Through Zoom meetings, we planned each episode in detail, and I was able to virtually direct the production in real time. After filming, I handled the complete post-production process, editing the entire season remotely. By leveraging technology and strong communication, we successfully brought the vision to life, delivering a compelling and polished series despite the logistical hurdles.
